This document sets out the rules for processing personal data by

hereinafter referred to as the “Administrator”. This
document has been prepared in accordance with
Regulation (EU) 2016/679
(“GDPR”).
1. Glossary
User - a natural person installing or using the
“MotoMate” mobile application (hereinafter: the
“Application”).
Service - functionalities of the Application, including
creating rider and motorcycle profiles, finding compatible riders nearby, organizing spontaneous rides and
group ride events, and in-app messaging.
2. Scope and purposes of data processing
Account Data (e-mail, Firebase ID, profile picture, basic profile data from
Apple/Google SignIn) -
purpose: login, authentication, and profile display; basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Rider Profile Data (name, bio, city, profile photo, rating, riding status, and ride
meeting spot if set by you) -
purpose: creating your public rider profile and enabling core social and ride coordination
functionality; basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Motorcycle Data (brand, model, engine capacity, horsepower, engine category, style
tags, year, and motorcycle photos) -
purpose: enabling motorcycle-based matching, displaying garage information, and helping other
riders assess compatibility for joint rides; basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Ride and Social Data (ride event details, attendees, chat messages, reviews, safety
flags, blocked users) -
purpose: providing ride organization, communication, post-ride feedback, and community safety
features; basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, where necessary for moderation and abuse prevention,
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Device Capabilities (Camera/Photos) -
purpose: we may request access solely to allow you to upload rider and motorcycle photos;
basis: Art. 6(1)(a) (consent).
Location Data (GPS) -
purpose: with your explicit consent, we collect precise device location to display nearby
riders and ride opportunities, render map interfaces, allow you to set meeting points, and store your
current position data (including coordinates and a proximity index) to support nearby-user features;
basis: Art. 6(1)(a) (consent).
Analytics data (in-app events, user engagement) collected via Firebase Analytics -
basis: Art. 6(1)(f) (legitimate interest) to improve the Application.
Device Push Tokens - purpose: to send push notifications regarding messages or
rides via Firebase Cloud Messaging; basis: Art. 6(1)(a) (consent via OS settings).
Apple Sign In / Google Sign-In - for optional social login.
These providers may process data in the USA or other countries outside
the EEA. Transfers are based on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) and
additional safeguards.
4. Retention period
Account, Rider Profile, and Motorcycle data - until account deletion.
Ride and message data - as long as necessary to provide the service; chat messages may be automatically
deleted after 30 days and past ride records after 7 days.
Location data - precise GPS data may be stored in your user profile as current position data
(including coordinates and a proximity index) for nearby-user features. This data is updated while
location-based features are active and retained until it is overwritten, removed, or your account is
deleted. Ride meeting points and ride event coordinates are retained for as long as the related ride
data is retained.
Technical logs & Database backups - max. 30 days.
5. User rights
You have, among others, the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict,
transfer, object, and withdraw consent (without affecting the lawfulness
of prior processing). Send requests to
matcode.help@gmail.com. You
also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the
Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
6. Tracking mechanisms / device identifiers
The Application does not store traditional “cookies”, but SDKs may use
device identifiers. You can manage location and tracking permissions in Android/iOS settings.
7. Data security
We use TLS 1.2+ encryption, password hashing, access control, and
backups. We will inform you of any breaches in accordance with Art. 33
GDPR.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for persons under 18 years of age due to the legal liability associated with
motorcycle riding and real-world meetups. If a
minor has provided us with data, please write to
matcode.help@gmail.com; we
will delete it.
9. Policy changes
New versions are published in the Application. We notify of significant changes via push or e-mail.
